Extended Abstract Submission
Prospective presenters in AIWEST-DR are invited to submit their abstracts that consist not less than 1000 words with title and affiliation and five keywords following the abstract. The abstract should explain briefly: background of the paper, objectives, methods, and important findings. The abstract should be written in a good english scientific writing style. Submission of the abstract should be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than May 1st, 2016 (Extended until June 1st, 2016). Submissions imply the willingness of at least one author to register, attend the conference, and present the paper.

Scopes of AIWEST-DR 2016
The scopes of the AIWEST-DR 2016 are expected to cover the following topics (but are not limited):
- Tsunami numerical modeling and their applications;
- Tsunami resilient city planning;

- Disaster education;
- Community based disaster risk reduction;
- Emergency handling and psychological dimension of responses;
- ICT application in disaster risk reduction;

- Policy making for sustainable disaster risk reduction;
- GIS and Remote Sensing for DRR;
- Knowledge management based for DRR;
- Applied Geosciences for DRR;
- Sustainable Recovery for Disaster Affected Areas;
- Paleotsunami and Paleoseismic studies.

Special Issue at International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction (IJDRR)
All papers with sub-topic related to “Progress of two large tsunami disaster recovery processes: the 10-year of the Indian Ocean tsunami in Aceh and the 5-year of the Great East Japan Tsunami in Tohoku Region” will have an opportunity to be invited to submit at One Special Issue at International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction (IJDRR).
The IJDRR is published by ELSEVIER and indexed in SCOPUS and Thomson Reuters.
To be selected for submission to the special issue, prospective authors are encouraged to:
a. submit an extended abstract following deadline and template of the 10th AIWEST-DR 2016;
b. select the sub-topic related to “Progress of two large tsunami disaster recovery process: the 10-year of the Indian Ocean tsunami in Aceh and the 5-year of the Great East Japan Tsunami in Tohoku Region”.
c. Follow instructions for the manuscript preparation announced by AIWEST-DR after being selected.
All prospective authors to this special issue must be informed that all papers will go a regular review process. Therefore, only high quality of papers with significant scientific merits will be considered. Acceptance and rejection of the papers will be based on the review process.
It is estimated that the publication of the special issue will be by April 2017
Proceedings at IOP Conference Series:
All accepted papers that follow the template of this conference and papers that have undergone an English proof-reading process will be published at IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Series. The proceedings are indexed by SCOPUS, although consideration for each paper to be indexed in the SCOPUS system may vary. The AIWEST-DR Committee is finalizing the agreement of the publication with the publisher.
