Background : Baitussalam is located in the coastal area of Aceh Besar and had affected by Tsunami in 2004. There is no tsunami vertical evacuation that built in this area. Thus, the tsunami mitigation in this area is rely on the tsunami evacuation routes. However, most people in the targeted area seemed to be unfamiliar with the network of evacuation, given the fact that the rate of new comers living in this area were increased.

Since three years ago, the area has been set as a new residential area. The communities living there were mostly newcomers. This is important to introduce the existed evacuation network to the existing community in this area to increase the capacity of community to mitigate the tsunami hazard.

 

 

 

Aims/ objectives : This project aims to increase the awareness of disaster mitigation of people who live coastal area with no vertical evacuation building is available in the area.

 

SG EvaNami has been available on Google Play. At the moment, the spatial data employed in the game is limited to two tsunami evacuation routes in Kecamatan Baitussalam, Aceh Besar, Indonesia. More information about SG EvaNami can be found here: https://www.evanami.com/

Mechanism and Program Design (Session chair/ moderator, Resource persons/ speakers, Presentation Title, Points of Discussion, etc.): : In this session, for the first time, SG EvaNami is introduced to an international forum. The participants of 13th AIWEST DR 2021 will be invited to play the SG EvaNami through their computer (PC version) and contributed in evaluation of the serious game.

The session will be divided into 4 parts:

1.     Introduction to SG EvaNami project

2.     Development of SG EvaNami

3.     SG EvaNami Play test

4.     Evaluation of SG EvaNami (Pre-test & Post-test Questionnaire)
